What is even the point of RP if there can’t be boners, right?
Well, good news for all of you amorous abominations, because it’s totally possible, and totally canon!
While the GMs are not responsible for lore development and their answers about it should be taken with a grain of salt (especially when it comes to silly subjects), always worth referencing is this post that went around a while back. For people who hate clicking (how did you get here), the GM explains that a body brought back into unlife has the majority of its processes restored. This is confirmed in actual lore just by instances or descriptions of death knights eating, sleeping, and drinking alcohol— the latter of which requires blood flow to have some effect, and hey, guess what else requires blood flow?
But my favorite reference for zombies gettin’ some is the semi-easter egg book you can find in Acherus during your starting quests there, Touch of the Banshee.
The wind caught her hair now, playfully flipping the worm-like tangles around her hollowed-out eye sockets. Skor’zad, suddenly aware that he was leaning forward with lust, shrank back behind the column, terrified that the Dark Wailer might have seen him. She had indeed seen him - but he had no reason to fear.
“Skor’zad,” she said. “I’ve been waiting for you. You fought well today.” The banshee glanced coyly over her rotting right shoulder, allowing her wrappings to loosen ever so slightly. “It’s time you… collected your reward.”
<The next few pages seem to be stuck together.>
Yes, that is an actual book in-game, and yes, that is exactly what you think it is. It’s possible that our excited NPC reader was a living cultist, but you know what? We don’t get a whole lot of lore and I am going to pretend that there’s a demographic large enough within the scourge that there’s at least some level of demand for erotic zombie fiction, enough that it can be found in the library of a major ziggurat.
Now, with everything, I think it’s up to players if they want that to be the case. Unlike most 2nd Gens who transitioned from life into undeath, Acherus DKs were almost entirely risen, and appear in various states of decay. Death knights disciplined in blood overall tend to be more lively and are also capable of manipulating their own blood; they above the others would probably be the healthiest when it comes to their physical state and, uh- capabilities. Frost and Unholy DKs could possibly run into some trouble with rot or frostbite.
This does bring up another subject, though, and I’m so sorry.
Yeah motherfucker pregnant DKs. You see people RP them, you headtilt, and you move along with an odd tic in your eye. Why did these people even roll an undead character?
I personally cannot bring myself to imagine an undead lady continuing to ovulate on any kind of regular basis (living ladies that are malnourished/in poor health/stressed can even stop doing so), but if the body’s processes do continue as they did, in rare cases, I won’t say it’s impossible. If zombie boners and zombie jizz are possible, I would not be quick to discount the possibility of undead pregnancy, though I might doubt its viability. There are a lot of dark magics, diseases, and all sorts of horrific things flowing through a death knight’s body, and they don’t exactly maintain their bodies and give them proper nutrition; assuming the fetus even survives, it would probably be some mutated undead horror.
But again blah blah blah your mileage may vary, do what you want, these are just my attempts at a logical approach to an oft-breached subject.
Clearly, we needed this.
